Overtown, FL – April 8, 2019 – Dwyane Wade made a surprise visit to the Overtown Youth Center for his Farewell Tour. OYC is near to Wade’s heart as he spent many hours practicing in the gym upon arriving to Miami more than a decade ago. Since starting out here and becoming a champion on the court; Wade has also been a champion for Overtown Youth Center, investing in reading programs, college tours and general programming to support the success of youth growing up in our community. Wade thought it would be most appropriate to hear from kids regarding his departure, answer questions, bid kids a heartfelt goodbyes and well wishes for their future.
