27th Annual Twelve Good Men of 2019 Luncheon to Benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida
Miami, FL – April 4, 2019 – Once again, the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Florida decked the Coral Gables Country Club in a celebration of its 27th annual Twelve Good Men with a luncheon. WPLG Channel 10’s Calvin Hughes served as the master of ceremonies for the fifth consecutive year, where more than 300 movers and shakers within the community gathered to pay tribute to the hand-picked 2019 honorees.
Each year, RMHC of South Florida honors leading men with a history of outstanding community involvement, civic service and support of one or more of South Florida’s top charity organizations. Honorees are first nominated by former 12 Good Men award recipients and then the event committee members select the 12 finalists. This year’s event raised more than $70,000 to benefit RMHC children and families.
“Celebrating these 12 men for their contribution to our community and who share our passion in helping those who are less fortunate is an honor,” said Soraya-Rivera Moya, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House. “I would like to extend a very special thanks to our event chairs, James Murphy, Linda Levy-Goldberg and Sonia Gibson, for their arduous work ensuring the event was perfect, once again, and our main sponsors, Trish and Dan Bell for the generosity.”
The funds donated each year during the Twelve Good Men Luncheon helps RMHC support the Ronald McDonald House located at the Jackson Memorial Hospital campus, which provides a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children receiving medical treatment at pediatric facilities in South Florida.
