Miami, FL – March 28, 2019 – Hundreds gathered throughout the night and early morning hours on another evening of Miami Music Week to dance to the sounds of DJ Justin Jay and Claude VonStroke at a party hosted by the tech titans of Unitea at Astra Rooftop in Wynwood. Headquartered in Miami, Unitea was founded by Ketan Rahangdale, the former CEO of EarTop Technologies, which developed the innovative wireless technology currently implemented in BeatsByDre headphones and Bose. Single-handedly raising $250,000 in angel funding and becoming the youngest person on the Impact 100 list in 2012, Ketan garnered these accomplishments all under the age of 20 and was praised by Fast Company as the “19-year-old wunderkind.”

Unitea is the first social music platform monetizing data through experiential ad units in the form of rewards to fans. The platform’s Board of Directors includes senior counsel from O’Melveny & Myers; Sharen Turney, the former CEO of Victoria’s Secret; Jeffrey Ransdell, CEO of Rokk3r Fuel ExO; and artists such as Pitbull; Michael Bearden, Lady Gaga, and Madonna. Ushering in a new era of fan engagement, Unitea is pioneering an interactive fan platform rewarding music loyalty. Debuting back in 2015, the tech-startup has become a pivotal interest in the music community, partnering with music giants like OWSLA and DirtyBird Campout to bring music activations for fans everywhere. The Unitea core team is comprised of both music and tech industry veterans from companies like Universal, Tinder, and Snapchat.
