Miami, FL – March 8, 2019 – The Adrienne Arsht Center’s celebrated Jazz Roots series continued in 2019 with the genre-bending jazz supergroup R+R=NOW on Friday, March 8. Led by Grammy Award-winning pianist and producer Robert Glasper, and featuring Terrace Martin on synthesizer and vocoder; Christian Scott aTunde Adujah on trumpet; Derrick Hodge on bass; Taylor McFerrin on synth and beatbox; and Justin Tyson on drums, R+R=NOW played several numbers from their new album, Collagically Speaking, during the show at the Knight Concert Hall. Following the concert, Center supporters and leaders joined the group for an intimate reception inside the Cejas Patrons Club. The 2018-2019 Jazz Roots series concludes on April 12 with the legendary keyboardist and producer Sergio Mendes, and a signature mix of bossa nova, samba and latin-inspired jazz sounds.
