Miami Beach, FL – January 25, 2019 – The Florida Room has always been a Miami Beach nightlife staple, and today it’s back on the map. The Florida Room, located at the iconic Delano South Beach hotel brought the glitz and glamour when it first opened its doors in November 2007. At it’s peak, The Florida Room was once known as the quintessential celebrity hotspot with appearances by Lenny Kravitz, Queen Latifah, John Mayer, and Jamie Foxx. Shortly thereafter, FDR took over the space, transforming the Crystal Piano lounge into an modern day South Beach nightclub.

Today, The Florida Room has returned thanks to nightlife guru Bruno Cardinali, as he has partnered with sbe to re-open the beloved hotspot. World Red Eye got an inside look at the newly renovated space, keeping the same old heart and soul with an updated twist. Read the full Q&A below.

Finally, I joined SBE Entertainment Group and was part of creating Hyde Beach at the SLS South Beach. Now back with SBE at the Delano South Beach.

WRE: The Florida Room was always known for having live performances. Are you planning on bringing performances back to the space?

BC: Yes, we will incorporate this as much as possible into the programing. We opened for Art Basel events and had already some amazing nights with people like Grammy Nominee Sophie Tucker and Lee Burridge.

WRE: What kind of music/vibe does The Florida Room provide that other spots don’t offer?

BC: We will focus on underground house music. One night there will be an open format music.

WRE: Who designed the newly renovated space?

BC: The new look was inspired by myself and a couple of Delano’s curators that have been here since its creation. Overall, the renovation was a solid group effort and we’re so happy with the finished product!
