PAMM Presents Art Week Celebration Featuring Antibalas, Kilo Kish, & Ray Brady

Miami, FL – December 6, 2018 – PAMM Presents brought thousands of guests from Miami and beyond for the museum’s signature art week bash, which kicked off PAMM’s 35th Anniversary. The event celebrated PAMM’s 35 years of unique history as a collecting institution with an ongoing commitment to diversity, presenting art from Latin America, the U.S. Latinx experience and the Caribbean, while looking toward the African diaspora. Guests danced to music by Brooklyn-based Afrobeat musical collective Antibalas and American artist, musician and designer Kilo Kish accompanied by Ray Brady, while mingling and sipping on Kim Crawford, Heineken, and La Croix. Attendees were given the chance to view PAMM’s current exhibitions, including The Gift of Art, which celebrates PAMM’s 35th anniversary and furthers the museum’s belief in preserving and sharing art with both current audiences and future generations; Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s documentary exhibition Surrounded Islands; Ebony G. Patterson’s immersive “night garden” installation; José Carlos Martinat’s large-scale light sculptures that borrow signs and symbols ranging from historical images to popular internet memes; and artist and filmmaker Pedro Neves Marques’ first-ever solo museum presentation featuring speculative short films inspired by the Zika virus.
