Miami Beach, FL – December 16, 2018 – Miami City Ballet hosted the fourth annual Nutcracker Magic Children’s Soirée, co-chaired by Asha Elias, Nikki Squire and Tina van der Ven. The Reception, held at the Peacock Foundation Studio inside the Adrienne Arsht Center, was sponsored by David and Leila Centner Foundation | Centner Academy. Over 230 attendees dined in a spectacular winter wonderland setting and danced with costumed characters as DJ Michael Sarysz put the room on its feet. Guests had their pictures taken at the Nutcracker Magic Photo Booth, sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities. After the brunch, guests attended the VIP performance of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, with Balanchine’s iconic choreography and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, performed by a live orchestra. VIP Guests were then treated with a special backstage tour, ending with an exclusive photo with the Sugar Plum Fairy. After the performance, Wells Fargo Private Bank sponsored The Sugar Plum Holiday Party for Big Brothers Big Sisters who were able to enjoy the spectacular winter wonderland setting again as DJ Michael Sarysz played for over 90 attendees who enjoyed a dessert bar and dancing with costumed characters.
