WRE: What is The NightGarden?

NG: The NightGarden is a beautifully curated light spectacular with interactive elements and real life special effects that make this a truly unique experience. The garden itself is inside the beautiful Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, in Miami Florida. Quite simply, this is an opportunity for people to suspend reality for a few hours and truly believe that they are inside of a real-life fairytale.

WRE: How did the idea of The NightGarden come about?

NG: Kilburn Live, producers of the NightGarden, specializes in creating unique experiences that are both highly entertaining and specifically curated. Kilburn has long been looking for the right venue to do a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, outdoor experience. The moment we saw Fairchild, we were stunned by its natural beauty and immediately knew we had found our magical home for the NightGarden.

WRE: What can guests expect to see at The NightGarden?

NG: They can expect the unexpected. The NightGarden truly comes to life with interactive characters like talking trees and flying fairies – all built to complement the beautiful lighting design our team of designers and special effects artists has created. It really is a the perfect meld of outdoor illuminated art, mystical interactivity, fun and games, with an added educational aspect. One of our designers called it a visually stunning VR experience without the VR. But nothing we say will prepare guests for what they will find upon arrival. One must truly experience it. We don’t want to spoil everything, so check it out for yourself to discover the NightGarden’s secrets!

WRE: The NightGarden is located at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, how does the Garden inspire the experience?

NG: Fairchild is already so beautiful, it naturally feels like an enchanted space. With the NightGarden, it was easy to be inspired by the surroundings. It’s not hard to imagine fairies playing at the springs under the moonlight; the trees have such character, one can easily believe that they come to life. We simply took the next magical step and let the garden tell us its story.

NG: Over a year of planning, 6 months of preparation, and 50 days to build.

WRE: What was the inspiration behind the design?

NG: The garden itself provided much of the inspiration for the design of the NightGarden. While the vision was in the heads of our designers, it was when we found Fairchild that we knew we found our spot – and we drew much inspiration from its natural beauty.

WRE: How long has The NightGarden experience been around?

NG: The NightGarden is a brand new experience that has never been seen before. Miami will be the first and only place to see this experience on display now until January 6, 2019.

WRE: Who the artist behind The NightGarden?

NG: Max Painter, is the Creative Producer of The NightGarden.
