Jackson Health Foundation’s 20th Guardians of the Children Luncheon at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne
Miami, FL – November 20, 2018 – Over 600 philanthropists and community leaders gathered to raise funds for the Holtz Children’s Hospital Pediatric Neurosurgery Program during the 20th anniversary Guardians of the Children Luncheon on November 20, 2018 at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. For over 20 years, the Guardian Angels have been a strong philanthropic partner in our community, raising money to fund critical needs of the children at Holtz Children’s Hospital that are not possible with the public bond initiative at Jackson Health System. Since their inception at Jackson Health Foundation, the Guardian Angels have raised more than $28 million for Holtz Children’s Hospital.
Over $400,000 was raised at the luncheon to fund the Pediatric Neurosurgery Program. In association with the UM Miller School of Medicine, this program is one of the most highly recognized in the U.S. for their surgical excellence. Their specialty features surgical management of disorders of the nervous system including brain and spinal cord tumors, head and spine trauma, congenital spine disorders, surgical treatments for epilepsy, and vascular malformations of the brain, to name a few.
