Miami, FL – September 8, 2018 – The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science presented “Art & Science Take Flight” as part of the 7th Annual Downtown Miami Art Days 2018, supported by the Miami Downtown Development Authority. Guests had the opportunity to join Moonlighter Makerspace and test their engineering skills as they attempted to make their own flying structures, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, using a portable wind tunnel and a variety of materials. Florida Power & Light Company was also at the museum with their larger-than-life #BeattheHeat Cooling Station. The event also marked the opening of the museum’s newest permanent exhibition, The Sun Spot, presented by Florida Power & Light Company.
