Baltimore, MD – May 18, 2018 – In anticipation for the 143rd Preakness Stakes Presented by The Stronach Group, guests gathered to participate in Black-Eyed Susan Day at the Pimlico Race Course. From the vibrant Girls Galleria to seminars featuring renowned female racing analysts, Black-Eyed Susan is truly the ultimate girls day out. Guests flaunted their style and creativity as one of Pimlico’s oldest stakes races unfolded in front of their eyes. The Black-Eyed Susan was first run in 1919 as the Pimlico Oaks. The name was changed in 1952 to honour the beauty of the Maryland state flower and, over time, it became a day for women to relax and celebrate the magic of the fillies. Aside from the races, the day was filled with culture and activities that excite and engage crowds in new ways each year.
