Neiman Marcus Coral Gables Tribute to Laurie Jennings – 20 Years in South Florida News & Broadcasting

Miami, FL – March 6, 2018 – Neiman Marcus Coral Gables and Vice President/General Manager Stephen Brunelle hosted a special tribute to Laurie Jennings, as she celebrates 20 years as a South Florida Broadcast Journalist. Laurie’s long-time friends Andria Ares Holtz, Lisa Berg, Beatrice Canals-Alvarez, and Swanee DiMare, paid beautiful tributes to her, bringing back fond memories of Laurie throughout the years, both personally and professionally. They also touched on her tireless dedication to the charities in our community, including Jackson Health Foundation, The United Way, Voices For Children, and so many more. The men in Laurie’s life – her work colleagues – also had wonderful stories to share about her. Victor Oquendo, ABC News Correspondent who formerly worked with Laurie and present colleagues Calvin Hughes and Louis Aguirre all had stories that the guests loved hearing. Laurie started her Miami career at WSVN, Channel 7 as a lead anchor, and she is currently been with WPLG, Local 10 News for 14 years as the evening anchor at 4, 5, 6 and 11pm. Following the heartfelt toasts, guests enjoyed a beautiful lunch catered by Neiman Marcus’ own Mariposa Restaurant while watching a Spring 2018 fashion show of the latest collections.
