Miami, FL – March 1, 2018 – La Centrale – Italian Food Hall transported guests on a culinary and sensory trip through Italy to celebrate the 40,000 square-foot food hall’s highly anticipated grand opening at Brickell City Centre. Managing partners Jacopo Giustiniani and Matthias Kiehm welcomed over 1,000 partygoers through the first-level, which was reimagined into La Centrale Airways. Guests were greeted by La Centrale flight attendants and pilots as they passed through the “boarding process” and into the food hall’s duty free area, which featured a variety of in-flight cocktail stations and the Campari first class lounge. Before departing on their trip to the second level, guests captured playful photos using fresh pasta and pizza at the La Centrale photo booth. Unveiled to the public for the first time, the second floor of La Centrale is where guests arrived to their final destination – Italy. Guests indulged in ossobuco sliders and beef tartar at Carne, decadent black truffle risotto at Stagionale, fresh ceviche and oysters at Pesce and rich gelato from Venchi. Aperol spritz, Negronis and Montenegro Mules were flowing in the center of it all at the Aperitivo bar, flanked by the food hall’s performance stage, where The Dolls, DJ Mia Morretti and Margot, performed. The journey through Italy continued on through La Centrale’s third level, Enoteca, the food hall’s massive Tuscan-inspired wine cellar. Oversized charcuterie boards and fritti bites complemented the wine selection as guests were delighted with surprise performances by Italian opera singers and a roaming Florentine street band. In the food hall’s cooking studio space, La Cucina, Executive Chef Vincenzo Scarmiglia’s team prepared fresh cavatelli cacio e pepe in a gigantic parmesan wheel. Before departing Italy and landing back in Miami for the night, guests were invited to pick up Acqua di Parma takeaways from La Centrale’s recreated baggage claim carousel. Brickell’s long-awaited food hall opened its doors to the public on Feb. 16 and is opening its second two levels over the next few days.
