Bal Harbour Village Celebrates Beach Polo World Cup Miami Beach 2018 Unveiling of Women’s Cup Team
Bal Harbour, FL – January 5, 2018 – Subsequent to the opening games of the world’s largest beach polo tournament, Beach Polo World Cup, Bal Harbour Village hosted an unveiling ceremony to announce their Women’s Cup Team. Following the announcement, Bal Harbour Shops welcomed two horses into its grand courtyard for the first time ever. Polo players Sheryl Sick, Cecilia Cochran and Melissa Ganzi debuted the team’s uniforms, while guests had the opportunity to view the high-end gear and décor. Guests in attendance included Bal Harbour Village Councilman Jeffrey Freimark; Polo players Sheryl Sick, Cecilia Cochran and Melissa Ganzi; and two Polo horses including Baby Berry Blast, a miniature pony and the face of Beach Polo World Cup. The ceremony highlighted remarks from Bal Harbour Village Councilman Jeffrey Freimark, introducing the team and debuting their new uniforms. “We are proud to officially debut our talented Women’s Cup team to our community,” said Jeffrey Freimark, Bal Harbour Village Councilman. “For more than a decade, Beach Polo World Cup has played a large role in establishing Miami Beach as an international destination, attracting polo players and spectators from Argentina to Germany, and we are honored to be part of this year’s event.” The Women’s Polo Cup match took place on Saturday afternoon at Collins Park, in which Bal Harbour Village defeated Peoples from Barbados in a 2-0.5 victor.
