Miami Beach, FL – October 11, 2017 – The National YoungArts Foundation welcomed supporters to an elegant dinner hosted by Le Sirenuse at The Surf Club as part of its exclusive Supper Club series. The setting made for an intimate and magical evening for YoungArts’ most distinguished circle of philanthropic leaders and friends. Upon arrival, each guest was gifted an original haiku written by YoungArts alumna Delali Ayivor (2011 Winner in Writing & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts) as they enjoyed hand-crafted cocktails and specialty wines before taking their seats in the pristine main dining room of Le Sirenuse. The evening featured a series of memorable performances by YoungArts alumna, singer and songwriter Judith Hill (2002 Winner in Voice), who has been praised by Rolling Stone for her “stellar powerhouse vocals.” In addition to penning and performing her own material, Hill has also backed such artists as Stevie Wonder and the late Michael Jackson. Hill shared her #becauseofyoungarts story with the crowd, exemplifying the impact that YoungArts can have on aspiring artists. Guests were then treated to two exquisitely prepared courses and a sampling of Italian desserts and coffee on the oceanside veranda. YoungArts Board Chair Richard Kohan and YoungArts President & CEO Carolina García Jayaram and YoungArts Vice President of Development Stacey Glassman Mizener were joined by notable guests including Nadim and Marlene Ashi of the Surf Club, Le Sirenuse owner Antonio Sersale, Fernando Crespo, Daniel and Veronica De la Vega, Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Laurinda Spear, Rachel and Joseph Furst, Duane McLaughlin, Bruce and Ellie Taub, and Alison Zhuk.
