CANVAS Condominium Tops Off with Art-Infused Celebration in Miami’s Arts + Entertainment Distric
Miami, FL – August 17, 2017 – A vibrant celebration marked the recent topping off of a highly-anticipated Miami development: CANVAS, the flagship residential tower of the City’s Arts + Entertainment District. More than 500 project supporters, industry professionals, area residents and local luminaries descended on the development’s site to celebrate the building reaching its highest point of construction at 37 stories. The developers of CANVAS, NR Investments, led by Ron Gottesmann and Nir Shoshani, kicked off the milestone event in tandem with the project’s exclusive broker, Fortune International Realty and Chairman Walter Defortuna, as well as general contractor Stiles Construction. As part of the special gathering — which was emceed by Miami-based performing artist/actress Teresa Cesario and featured lively performances by DJ Aliyo and the 305 Street Band — the developers unveiled plans for a massive street art installation, which will adorn the condominium’s interiors. Curated by Miami-based muralist Daniel “Krave” Fila, the permanent exhibition will involve the collaboration of 22 globally renowned street artists, creating more than 200 original works of art for the residential corridors and common areas. During the event, the building quite literally served as an inspirational “canvas” for Krave and several of the participating artists, who completed a mural outside of the sales gallery and painted hardhats to symbolize construction of the art-and-design-inspired tower. Commissioners Ken Russell and Francis Suarez were also in attendance, paying tribute to the developers’ transformative work and their vision for the area. CANVAS, which comprises 513 residences, broke ground in February 2016 and is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2018. NR Investments and its principals are the founders of the Arts + Entertainment District, an emerging, urban residential neighborhood connecting the Wynwood Arts District and Design District to downtown Miami.
