Miami, FL – July 19, 2017 – Miami City Ballet (MCB) has partnered with the General Consul of Brazil to launch the Brazilian Founders Committee in support of their Ballet Beyond Borders Scholarship Program for international students. Prospective Committee members were invited to participate in a behind-the-scenes look at the South American Intensive program and then enjoy an intimate reception at MCB studios. Company dancers Natalia Arja, Mayumi Enokibara, Luiz Silva and Andrei Chagas spoke about their experience with the Ballet Beyond Borders Scholarship program. Notable guests included Ambassador Adalnio Senna Ganem and Hosana Senna Ganem, Committee Chair Miguel Perrotti, Fernando de Souza of TRX Investments, Joice Torres of Rede TV, Nicole Commotti from Faena Art, Ana Martins of Acontece Magazine, Maria Fulfaro from Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Christiano Marchesini of Cartier, Shauna Biersay-Dunbar and Paula Barifouse Sobral from Western Union and several other notable philanthropists.
