Miami, FL – July 8, 2017 – Museum Director Jordana Pomeroy, and the Consul General of Mexico in Miami Horacio Saavedra, welcomed hundreds to Florida International University for the opening reception for the Frost Art Museum’s summer exhibitions celebrating the art of Mexican photography: Becoming Mexico: The Photographs of Manuel Carrillo and Possible Worlds: Photography and Fiction in Mexican Contemporary Art. Members of the museum, arts and culture lovers and government officials from Mexico flocked to the museum to enjoy the works of Carrillo from the museum’s own collection, and Mundos Posibles (an exhibition in partnership with the Consulate of Mexico in Miami, and the Mexican Cultural Institute of Miami). Guests included Sandra Gonzalez-Levy, Lourdes Tudela, Fernando de la Torre, Fernanda Duran, Cristian Proa, Juan & Claudia Gallardo, Ralph & Cookie Gazitua, Miriam Oroshnik, Raul Rodriguez, William Castellanos and Dennys Matos.
