Planned Parenthood’s 100 Year Anniversary Dinner at Byblos

Miami Beach, FL – April 6, 2017 – 90 Planned Parenthood supporters came together at Byblos at the Shorecrest to celebrate the non-profit organization’s 100 year anniversary. This year’s Miami fundraiser was a celebratory evening led by Planned Parenthood volunteer, Lisa Versaci and Planned Parenthood Board Members, Debra Frank, Dawn Adels Fine and Barbara Garrett. The event was a noteworthy success with more than $100,000 raised to provide lifesaving services to patients at Planned Parenthood health centers throughout Florida including cancer screenings, well-woman’s exams, birth control, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases. Long-time advocates and first-time attendees enjoyed cocktails and an intimate dinner in a chic atmosphere with an Eastern Mediterranean flair. The event featured Lillian Tamayo, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida. Tamayo spoke about several dangerous anti-women’s health bills that have been introduced in Florida and urged supporters to contact their local representatives.
