Miami, FL – March 22, 2017 – Baptist Health Foundation hosted a special event at the new Miami Cancer Institute in appreciation of the generous sponsors and supporters of The Grand Gala, while also celebrating its association with Flightserve USA, “the official aviation transport partner of Baptist Health.” Considered the most successful fundraising event in the Foundation’s history, The Grand Gala – held in November 2016 – also marked the official launch of Baptist Health South Florida’s association with Flightserve. Miami Cancer Institute CEO and Executive Medical Director Michael Zinner, M.D., praised all involved with The Grand Gala for their dedication and commitment to the vision and mission of the Institute, and also saluted the co-chairs. Of Flightserve, Baptist Health Foundation CEO William Banchs, Ph.D., said the association promises to be a game-changer for Baptist Health, allowing patients to save hours of time in transport anywhere from Palm Beach to the Florida Keys. The non-emergency helicopter transport operator showcased its service with a series of demonstrations on the newest member of its fleet during the event.
