Miami Beach, FL – February 25, 2017 – Each year at the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival takes their hats off to some of the world’s most recognized leaders in the culinary and beverage industries, and this sweet 16 is was exception. This year the festival honored the deeply passionate and talented Chef José Andrés alongside Louis Roederer group owners and 6th and 7th generation members of the Roederer family, Jean-Claude Rouzaud and Frédéric Rouzaud, during an evening guided by Master of Ceremonies Anthony Bourdain. Grammy Award-winning artist Gloria Estefan was also on hand to help present the evening’s tribute. Among the evening’s highlights was an extravagant auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences including an African Safari and European Getaways, exciting dining packages from this year’s honorees, priceless artwork and more. The evening’s culinary offerings was created by a highly regarded group, including Frederic Delaire, Rubén García, Emeril Lagasse, Michael Voltaggio, Aitor Zabala and Andrew Zimmern. Recently awarded the 2015 National Humanities Medal by President Obama for both cultivating palates and shaping culture, Andrés has been named one of the most influential people in the world on the prestigious Time “100” list, as well as awarded the honor of “Outstanding Chef” by the James Beard Foundation. The chef/owner of ThinkFood Group is also an author, educator, television personality, and relentless advocate for food and hunger issues. A widely respected place that many prestigious family-owned producers call home, Maisons Marques & Domaines represents some of the most highly esteemed properties in the world and one of numerous entities owned by Louis Roederer. Chairman of the Board Jean-Claude Rouzaud has guided the House of Champagne Louis Roederer since 1979, when he became president at the age of 37. His eldest son, Frédéric Rouzaud, was named President of Champagne Louis Roederer Group in January 2006, working his way through the company after starting as Regional Manager, to Manager of Human Resources and most recently, General Manager Delegate in charge of development.
