Miami Beach, FL – December 1, 2016 – The much-anticipated opening of the first Bamford Haybarn Spa in the U.S. officially debuted at 1 Hotel and Homes South Beach during Art Basel with an exclusive cocktail party hosted by founder and influential champion of natural living, Carole Bamford, alongside 1 Hotel CEO & Chairman, Barry Sternlicht, and Richard LeFrak. Designed by luxury hotel and spa designer Spencer Fung, guests including Karolina Kurkova, Archie Drury, Kelly Klein, Blaine Trump, Steve Simon, Alex Von Furstenberg, Raj Kanodia, and Rush Zimmerman were entranced by the spa’s stunning features from their first step inside. The 4,500 square foot spa incorporates 1 Hotels’ brand mission of sustainability into its design and décor, featuring ash log walls from reclaimed ash trees, reclaimed hickory floors from recycled timbers and reclaimed willow bundles from salvaged trees. The newly constructed space features 12 spacious treatment rooms, three manicure and pedicure stations and a relaxation area known as The Woodland Room. Underscoring the natural and sustainable philosophy of the renowned hotel property, guests were treated to an assortment of plant-based culinary creations and organic cocktails by master chef and educator, Matthew Kenney.

Serving as the first Bamford Haybarn Spa in the U.S., the new spa, rooted in a strong commitment to caring for the mind, body and spirit, based around a heartfelt connection with nature, will offer an assortment of holistic body treatments, massages, Yoga and Pilates offerings that encourage positive flows of energy, as well as facial treatments using Bamford’s award-winning natural and organic skincare line.
