Miami Beach, FL – November 30, 2016 – It’s not every day that you witness the proverbial baton passing from magazine cover star to magazine cover star but last night some 800 guests of Toys for Boys witnessed film director Brett Ratner and Art Basel cover star Russell Simmons share the stage as Ratner’s cover retired and Simmons’ took life. The event took place at Rudolf Budja Gallery where an expansive Warhol collection hung on the black walls. Punctuating the space as well, were luxe automobiles courtesy of The Collection. In Brett’s honor, Hilhaven Lodge cocktails were served alongside the fleet of Diageo’s portfolio including a full bar. Toys for Boys partner, JetSmarter also shared their flight sharing experience while guests witnessed Cristal champagne, 24k golden donut making in the exposed kitchen. Hebru Brantley, Ricky of Dee and Ricky, Len Blavatnik, James Goldstein, John and Susan Turchin and a slew of local and transplanted collectors were in attendance to fete the occasion. This gathering falls hot on the heels of Toys for Boys Kehinde Wiley dinner Monday at PAMM and in anticipation of their dinner for Daniel Arsham this Friday.
