Miami Beach, FL – October 13, 2016 – Mayor Philip Levine joined Faena Rose for a pre-release screening of Before the Flood, an important documentary featuring Leonardo DiCaprio as he travels the world, including a stop in Miami Beach, to document climate change and speak to the scientists, politicians, and activists at the forefront of this major issue. After the film, Mayor Levine answered questions about the affects of climate change on Miami Beach and the measures being taken to protect the city. The event was the first in a new screening series at Faena Rose curated by filmmaker Brett Ratner and presented by The Hilhaven Lodge Whiskey.
