#AudiQ7Drive305 x Maria Tettamanti
Miami Beach, FL – May 10, 2016 – Capping off our ride through the Audi Q7 Drive 305 – a digital partnership between THE COLLECTION and World Red Eye – where insiders can get an up close and personal look at the all-new 2017 Audi Q7 through the eyes of three of Miami’s own, we spent the day zooming around town with Fashion Blogger and founder of The Wordy Girl, Maria Tettamanti. Tettamanti gave us a look into Miami through her eyes behind the wheel of the newly-arrived 2017 Audi Q7.

WRE: Had you ever driven an Audi before?
MT: Yes. My mother used to drive one until it literally floated away from the floods of Hurricane Andrew!
WRE: Describe how you felt when you pulled out of THE COLLECTION in the Q7?
MT: The Audi Q7 handles really well — I especially love the pop-up entertainment screen. Plus, who doesn’t love new-car feels?

WRE: How would you describe the driving experience of the Q7?
MT: For such a spacious car the Q7 drives in a zippy manner, which is rather surprising. The safety features are unparalleled, too.
WRE: What was your favorite destination?
MT: Bal Harbour Shops because it offers the finest mix of dining and shopping. Plus, I have a self-diagnosed shoe “problem.”
WRE: When and where were you happiest driving your Q7?
MT: When I picked up my kids from school, they freaked out! The whole car ride home, they were fidgeting with the Q7’s bells and whistles as though it were a spaceship.
WRE: Describe your perfect day behind the wheel of an Audi Q7?
MT: I’d cruise to the beach and clock in some suntan time. I’d grab a bite of crispy rice tuna at Makoto. Then, I’d pick up the kids and take them to iPic theaters – I’m obsessed with that chic cinema; It’s my idea of Disney World for adults.
WRE: What was the Q7’s most memorable characteristic?
MT: I love the touchpad. You can literally enter an address into the GPS with the touch of your finger. Plus, I’m notorious for denting my car — the Q7’s camera has got you covered…even from above. Genius!
WRE: The Q7 is packed with technology. What was your favorite tech feature?
MT: I love the camera from above — no more dents and no more visits to the auto body shop, hooray!
WRE: If you had to compare your Q7 to an animal – which one would it be?
MT: A killer whale because it’s big, yet fast and ferocious.
WRE: What song do you identify with your Q7?
MT: Right now, the kids and I are unequivocally obsessed with Flo Rida’s “My House” so Flo is in for the win.
WRE: Did you get any compliments on your Q7?
MT: My kids couldn’t stop telling me how cool the technology was in the Q7. Plus, my current car doesn’t boast a third row and they were loving that feature.
WRE: Describe the 2017 Audi Q7 in one word.
MT: Dynamic.
WRE: Would you recommend a Q7 to your friends?
MT: I would definitely recommend it for families and outdoorsy types. It’s so roomy inside and the third row is perfect for accommodating extra guests.
WRE: Tell us about your blog, The Wordy Girl.
MT: Thewordygirl.com is a funny blog about serious fashion and travel. It consistently wins honors as “Miami’s Top Fashion Blog” and I’ve been featured live on The Today Show and CNN.
WRE: Why did you start it?
MT: Thewordygirl.com started as a platform to share my kooky stream of consciousness — an online diary of sorts. Soon after it took on a life of its own and has become a full-time job! I need interns. Like, stat.
WRE: How do you think fashion/ lifestyle blogs have transformed the way people find their own inspiration?
MT: Look, people have always looked to celebrities for inspiration. But the reality is, most of us don’t have Beyoncé’s bank balance. Bloggers, on the other hand, are real people and we’re relatable. That being said, the Average Joe can relate to normal people/bloggers and are able to emulate their style.
WRE: What are some of your favorite things to do in Miami?
MT: I adore beach days at Soho Beach House or pool days at The Standard. I enjoy taking tennis lessons with my kids. I live for the eats at restaurants such as Mandolin, Joe’s, Michy’s, or Makoto. My family loves taking the boat out on Sundays and seeing where the wind will take us. Factor some shopping somewhere in there, too, obviously.

WRE: Other than the continued success of your blog, is there any else we can look forward to in regards to your work?
MT: Perhaps a reality TV show? Maybe a book deal? How about a collaboration with Vogue? But truth be told, I’m really content with where I’m at in life right now. #Blessed
