Galactic Nights: Launching Into The Future Gala at Lou La Vie

Miami, FL – April 23, 2016 – Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services hosted its Galactic Nights … Launching Into The Future gala at the Lou La Vie Gallery. More than 300 business leaders, philanthropists and youth advocates enjoyed dancing to the music of DJ Laz while experiencing exotic entertainment such as Galactic dancers, a LED dancing robot, a psychic reader, a mixology bar and much more. Top-tier sponsors of the event included Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan Carlos Zapata as well as Bacardi, Brown & Brown and Coastal Construction. For more than 30 years, Miami Bridge has been providing temporary housing and trauma-informed care for kids escaping crime, abuse, violence and human trafficking. With campuses in Miami and Homestead, Miami Bridge is Miami-Dade County’s only 24-hour emergency shelter for at-risk youth. Operation of the shelters in Miami and Homestead costs about $8,500 per day. The contributions provide counseling, on-site education, trained clinical staff, health services, food, basic necessities, bed sheets and clothes for kids who arrive at the shelters door with nothing.
