The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s Hearts & Stars Gala 2016
Miami Beach, FL – March 12, 2016 – The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s (LLF) hosted its Hearts & Stars Gala 2016: Venetian Carnival charity event at the stunning Island Gardens and The Deck at Island Gardens. LLF assists South Florida children and their families who struggle with educational, financial and medical hardships. All proceeds from the Hearts & Stars Gala 2016: Venetian Carnival benefit LLF’s mission. The Hearts and Stars Gala: Venetian Carnival masquerade themed party hosted 1,200 guests for a top shelf open bar featuring Ketel One, Johnnie Walker, Ron Zacapa and Don Julio. Tastings from some of top South Florida’s top restaurants including Red, the Steakhouse, French 27, Lique Miami, Sweet Nectar, Silverspoon Events, Lyon + Lyon, Titi’s Treats, Via Verdi, Green Bites, Miami Cake Lounge and TiramesU. The Gala’s casino games featured over $80,000 in prizes, including an original Alec Monopoly painting donated by Art of Gallery, a three night stay at a VIllazzo luxury property, and a destination vacation package from Four Seasons Costa Rica.
A lineup of 10 VanDutch yachts filled the event’s dock, while HUBLOT displayed multiple high-end timepieces including the limited edition VanDutch HUBLOT timepiece. Warren Henry Automotive Group displayed brand new Range Rovers at the event entrance, and its VIA Luxury car rental service included a white Ferrari 458 Spyder. The Little Lighthouse Foundation Shining Light Award was presented to NBC’s Adam Kuperstein designating him as the community member who embodies the spirit of philanthropy and significantly furthers its mission. Kaila Mardoyan received the Little Lighthouse Foundation Volunteer of the Year. The evening’s Keener Matching Grant program brought multiple donors onto the “Stage of Legends”, raising over $100,000 towards Little Lighthouse Foundation programming. Nicolo Tita of Tita Italian celebrated the moment with a 15L magnum of Antica Fratta Franciacorta sparkling wine.
