Science Up Close: Dark Matter and the Dinosaurs
Miami, FL – December 17, 2015 – The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science hosted its popular Science Up Close series on Thursday, December 17 at Books & Books in Coral Gables. This installment, “Dark Matter and the Dinosaurs,” featured New York Times bestselling author and professor Dr. Lisa Randall. Following a welcome from Books & Books Founder Mitchell Kaplan and Frost Science Chief Science Officer Dr. Eldredge “Biff” Bermingham, Dr. Randall led a fascinating discussion on the devastating cataclysm that killed off the dinosaurs, along with two-thirds of the species on Earth at the time. Afterwards, guests had the opportunity to ask questions and meet Dr. Randall in person as she signed her books, which were on sale at Books & Books.
