Bass Museum of Art Honors Sylvie Fleury at The Miami Beach EDITION
Miami, FL – December 1, 2015 – The Bass Museum of Art honored internationally acclaimed artist Sylvie Fleury at a formal dinner held The Miami Beach EDITION Hotel. Fleury’s newest neon sculpture Eternity Now, opened for public viewing earlier in the evening. The 33 foot-long site-specific piece is part of bassX, a series of artist projects presented by the Bass Museum during its year-long renovation. Fleury also designed an 800-foot banner for the construction fence that encloses the museum’s construction site. George Lindemann, President of the Museum Board and Museum Executive Director Silvia Karman Cubiñá, were hosts of the dinner prepared by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with Chateau D’Esclans’ rosé wine ‘Whispering Angel’ and their newest wine ‘Rock Angel.’
