The day featured an array of design talks that allowed for a dialogue between collaborators, colleagues and/ or competitors for discussions on various topics. Art, design and culture: How The Related Group has reinvented the condominium market

Will Meyer, interior designer and founding partner of MeyerDavis along with Piero Lissoni, architect, designer and art director of LissoniAssociati, architect Joao Armentano and Carlos Rosso, president of The Related Group, Condo Division joined together for a conversation about turning Miami’s high-rises and public spaces into art-centric sites. The hopes is that these spaces would recall the great monuments, plazas and street-level sculptures of cities like Florence, Barcelona and Paris.

Michael Booth, design principal of internationally-renowned design firm BAMO, and lighting designer Granville Mcanear of Craig Roberts Associates chatted with Dering Hall editorial director Carly Sullivan about their work on the first Four Seasons hotel in Dubai, where the mission was to a create elegant and timeless urban resort consistent with the Four Seasons experience in a region known for its over-the-top, hyper modern tastes.

Push & Pull: Working with Art in Interiors & Landscape Design

From large-scale paintings to striking sculptures, mixing artwork into a home’s design is integral to the creation of a successful space, both indoors and out. In a conversation led by Dering Hall Vice President Frank Ballabio, interior designers Todd Davis and Robert Brown of Brown Davis Interiors, and Charlotte Dunagan of Charlotte Dunagan Design Group shared insights about merging artwork, decor, architecture and landscaping under one roof as well as practical considerations, including building a collection, placement and care.
