Benefit Celebrating Jim Drain + Cannonball
Coconut Grove, FL – April 1, 2015 – Cannonball, the Miami-based nonprofit invited artist Jim Drain to help design and host this year’s annual artist-led benefit dinner. Held at The Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Coconut Grove, an intimate group enjoyed a private presentation of Drain’s current work and future projects, as well as an exclusive formal dinner with the artist to toast to and celebrate Cannonball’s longstanding artist-centric mission and its innovative activities. To top-off this celebratory night, Drain presented each guest with a limited-edition “shark-tooth” sculpture that he fabricated exclusively for the event. He also made an additional 30 sculptures for Cannonball to sell after the event to support its ongoing programs. The sculptures are available for purchase through Cannonball’s website. The event was generously sponsored by Moët and Chandon, Belvedere Vodka, and NorthStar Seafood.
