The Venus Orbit Galactic Team Captains at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science
Miami, FL – January 29, 2015 – The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science recently celebrated the topping off of its Planetarium, a major construction milestone. The Planetarium will be a unique cultural and educational South Florida destination, propelling visitors on scientific journeys through the known universe and the yet to be discovered. The Planetarium’s digital dome will make it one of the most sophisticated planetariums in the world. A vibrant fundraising arm of the museum, which has fueled support for the Planetarium, is Venus Orbit. Now in its second year, Venus Orbit is an innovative, female philanthropy program whose mission is to bring 1,000 women together who each pledge $1,000 or more with the goal of raising one million dollars for the Planetarium. The group was named after the planet Venus, the second planet from the Sun and the brightest celestial body in the sky. Venus Orbit membership ranges from $1,000 to $10,000.
