Science Up Close at Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science
Miami, FL – February 19, 2015 – The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science hosted its second installment of its popular Science Up Close event series as part of its Innovation & Engineering Weekend. This installment, “Inhabiting the Internet of Things,” featured Dr. Rodolphe el-Khoury, Dean of the University of Miami School of Architecture, an architect and designer who researches architectural applications for information technology. Rodolphe el-Khoury describes a not-too-distant future in which “the internet of things” will become a reality. The evening begun with a welcome from Dr. Eldredge Bermingham, Chief Science Officer of the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, followed by an interactive presentation by Dean el-Khoury. After his presentation, guests enjoyed small group discussions led by leaders in innovating the city of the future. Guests enjoyed a live performance by the Frost School of Music along with complimentary beer by Wynwood Brewing Company.
