Robert Battle Hosts Master Class at Arsht Center

Miami, FL – February 24, 2015 – Robert Battle, artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Miami native and creator of one of the commissioned pieces joined John Richard, president and CEO of the Arsht Center, and Scott Shiller, executive vice president of the Center, to reveal the planned commissions during an exclusive media breakfast. Following the presentation, Battle joined students from his alma mater Miami Northwestern Senior High School for a Master Class, where students received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn directly from the director himself. Following the intensive workshop, students spent time chatting with Battle about an array of dance related topics.
