Miami Beach, FL – December 3, 2014 – On Wednesday evening, Pérez Art Museum Miami, Ian Schrager, Miami Beach EDITION and Christie’s hosted an exclusive dinner in celebration of Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes and her stunning exhibition Jardim Botânico, on view at PAMM through January 11, 2015. The exhibition is Milhazes’ first major U.S. retrospective. Her large-scale abstract paintings, inspired by Brazilian and European Modernism, Baroque forms and popular culture, have garnered international acclaim. Ensconced in Chef Jean George Vongerichten’s sleek new Miami outpost, Matador Room, Milhazes was joined by PAMM donors Jorge and Darlene Pérez and a swathe of art and fashion world elites. The 100 guests dined on a lavish meal in the moody, elegant space with Jean-Georges on hand for the evening’s revelry. The dinner was a premiere event in PAMM’s Miami Art Week/Art Basel Miami Beach calendar.
