Miami, FL – December 3, 2014 – Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in partnership with Bank of America and U.S. Trust, hosted a private viewing and discussion on a contemporary photography exhibition: Living in Limbo: Lesbians in the Deep South, photographs by Carolyn Sherer during Art Basel week at Studio 255. The evening began with a private viewing of the pop-up exhibition followed by a panel discussion on arts and advocacy within the LGBTQ community. The photographs featured in the exhibit displayed the current complexities of lesbian family life in the south and provide an intimate view of a population that has been largely invisible or underrepresented in public art. Event sponsors included: Living in Limbo, Inc, The Birmingham Civil Rights Museum, and The Macricostas Pulley Foundation.
