Miami, FL – November 1, 2014 – It couldn’t have been a more stunning Saturday evening at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami as over 850 guests filled the ballroom for The 13th Annual Illuminations Gala, celebrating the 100,000 Faces of Chapman Partnership. Mistress of Ceremonies, Laurie Jennings, led the evenings festivities which included a short and inspiring presentation about Chapman Partnership, a moving play about homelessness, as well as a presentation of the Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Humanitarian of the Year Award. Carlos Fernandez-Guzman closed the presentations by outlining his vision of Chapman Partnership as it enters its third decade, which includes staying true to Alvah H. Chapman, Jr.’s mission while evolving to meet the future needs of the next 100,000 faces of homelessness in our community. After the presentations it was time to celebrate as guests flooded the dance floor and danced the night away to music by Soul Survivors, followed by a candle-lit performance by Miami Choral Academy and the Spam All Stars during the nextgen after party. This year’s gala raised an incredible, record breaking $1,770,000, which helps pay for all the services provided to over 5,500 single men, single women and families that annually reside in Chapman Partnership’s two Homeless Assistance Centers. The Gala co-chairmen included Susan Kahn, Lani Kahn Drody, Norma Quintero and Alessandra Quintero.
