Miami, FL – October 12, 2014 – The Miami Rail, the sister publication to The Brooklyn Rail, is Miami’s very own non-profit literary journal dedicated exclusively to the coverage of arts and culture via print journalism. It covers poetry, literature, and visual arts, creating a print and digital record of our place and time, not for outsiders, not for people living in New York or LA or London, but for those of us who dwell here, those of us who participate here, those of us who create here. As a non profit The Miami Rail is made possible by advertisers, grant writers, grant givers, donations and FUN-raisers. This past Sunday, Miamians put their money where it counts by coming out to the Fall FUN-raiser, which of course included everything from games, mouth-watering eats from Shorty’s BBQ, and savory Stolen Rum cocktails. Highlight of the afternoon was catching Erin Newberg and Jim Drain getting drenched in the dunk tank for all to witness.
