Miami Beach, FL – August 11, 2014 – It was all about the battle of the libations last night as five of the best ‘power-mixers’ in town competed against each other in an inimitable mixology challenge during the the first annual SVEDKA Shakedown. Taking place at Miami hotspot Cecconi’s Garden at SOHO Beach House, contestants Leo Holtzman of Cocktail Collection, Oxana Parfenova of Blackbird Ordinary, Randal Perez from Broken Shaker and Trevor Alberts of Orange Blossom battled it out to see who would come out on top and be crowned the ultimate mixologist. The contestants were critiqued by a tough panel of industry experts, including Miami bartender Ben Potts, Director of Spirits at Constellation Brands Vicky Arcos, cocktail consultant and beverage programmer Ezra Pattek, TV host Alexandra Olavarria, and promoter Jose Ortiz.

Guests eagerly watched along sipping specialty SVEDKA cocktails as the contestants participated in three rounds of mixology elimination challenges, consisting of impossible ingredients and challenging mixing conditions. Champion of the evening, Randy Perez, mixed, shook and poured his way to the ultimate bragging rights as the first ever SVEDKA Shakedown winner, which also came with a lovely grand prize of $5,000.
