4th of July Weekend Guide
Miami Beach, FL – July 3-6, 2014 – Fellow Americans, get your red, white, and blue gear ready because it’s time to celebrate our country’s birthday. The fourth coincidentally falls on a Friday this year which means that this weekend is going to be even more epic. We’ve got the low down on all the exciting patriotic parties happening this weekend and if you plan on sticking around town you’re definitely not going to want to miss out.
Katy Perry at AmericanAirlines Arena
Forget waiting until tomorrow night, it’s time we get the fireworks going a day early. Pop music sensation Katy Perry has finally made her way back to the sunshine state and will be taking over the AmericanAirlines Arena tonight for her Prismatic world tour. Perry has pulled out all the stops for this tour and we can already hear the fans roaring now. It’s going to be one hell of a night so we suggest you don’t let this show be the one that got away.

IndepenDANCE Beach Bash at Nikki Beach
Stars, stripes, and booze. Yep, America’s favorite holiday is finally here and better yet it’s on a Friday! Still trying to figure out your Fourth of July plans? Well you’re in luck because Miami’s biggest bash, IndepenDANCE is taking over Nikki Beach again and it is going to be bigger and better than ever. This two-day ragefest will continue as well on Saturday with sets by Steve Lawler, Boris, and Oscar G as well as endless drinks and good vibes. Really though, there’s nothing like a house remix of the “Star-Spangled Banner,” so get your bikinis and board shorts ready because it’s all going down tomorrow beginning at 11:00am sharp!

IndepenDANCE at Space
After a day of intense raging at Nikki Beach (or any other spot of your choosing), why not keep the party going at one of Miami’s staple spots? Space is doing it big this year and is keeping the IndepenDANCE bash going all night long with none other than Miami’s favorite DJ Cedric Gervais. The Grammy winning music man will be returning to the terrace tomorrow night to keep the momentum going and obviously will be shelling out some insane sounds that will go on well into the early morning hours. You may want to bring your sunnies for this one because it looks like its going to be one of those nights, or shall we say mornings.

Fireworks
After all the crazy dayger activities going on tomorrow finally comes the best part of the holiday, fireworks. Unfortunately with these high rises here in Miami it can be hard to find a spot with a great view. Do not fret friends because North Shore Bandshell at Collins Ave. and 73rd street has got you covered and will be putting on an incredible fireworks show that will fill all of your festive needs. The best part about this spot is that admission is completely free! Come one come all and watch the sky light up in celebration of America’s birthday.
