#SeizetheNight with Desperados

Miami, FL – June 13, 2014 – On Friday, Desperados beer invited guests to #SeizetheNight. This took place at a never before experienced location, adult playhouse, Toejam Backlot in Wynwood. Sexual, punk, hip-hop and social media revolutions were conveyed throughout separate areas of the space with true cultural revolutions. Headliners included: YACHT, Juan Maclean,  Otto Von Schirach, together with Ess + Emm, Jeremy Ismael, Bonnie Beats, Arlette and DJ Grace Jones.

Guests were transported into each revolution with a bottle of Desperados in hand. During the night each of the different rooms expressed a different revolution. In the Punk Parlor, Nue Studio, Make Up Artist Aileen and Asaad from tattoo shop, Chicos Marked 4 Life, had guests playing Truth or Dare to have punk looks done including shaving their head, goth make up or a custom Desperados tattoo. Guests were able to watch live screen printing by Ryan the Wheelbarrow and score a tee depending on which truth or dare they chose.

Two of Miami’s best hip hop DJs A-Train and Louie Arson scratch battled it out in the Hip-Hop Revolution. An airbrush artist created retro 80s kitchy hat designs. In the sexual revolution room, the female DJs played a mix of indie, synths and disco. Off in the glow in the dark room, guests confessed via video, their most Desperados moment. The main room opened with a disco house set by DJ Juan Maclean followed by YACHT’s live performance; they were amazed by Miami’s reaction to them hitting the red button as they released Kryogenefix throughout the crowd. Otto von Schirach and Master Feathers closed the night with a live performance featuring Otto’s new song: Tipo Tropical.

The sound was impeccable thanks to seasoned pro Mark Underwood and his SRX Events staff while visuals by artists TM Sisters and artist GWiz One’s life-size plywood Desperdos art, kept everyone’s attention.
