Miami Heat’s Quest for a Three-Peat

Miami, FL – June 5, 2014 – As if this city couldn’t get any hotter, the day has finally arrived where the quest for a three-peat begins. Our beloved Miami Heat will officially partake in the NBA finals tonight for the third year in a row in a battle to claim the champion title once again. Following a nail biting Eastern Conference Finals series against the Indiana Pacers, the Heat seem more than ready to come out on top. Enough of that ear blowing nonsense because the competition will be fiercer than ever as the San Antonio Spurs are coming back with a vengeance. However, with South Florida’s devoted fan base and the incredible talent on the team, a fourth title feels closer than ever. As proud Heat fans anxiously gear up to watch our boys dominate the court, we want to take some time to reflect on all of the wildly amazing moments from the past years celebrations.
2006
We’re going to start by taking it all the way back to 2006 when the Miami Heat won their very first championship in franchise history. This win gave NBA veterans such as Alonzo Mourning, Antoine Walker, and Gary Payton their very first NBA title. Although the Heat claimed the trophy on Dallas Mavericks’ turf, they quickly jetted their way back to party in the city where the heat is on. With the team’s first win in tow, the players immediately hit up Miami hotspot Prime 112 and began celebrating the milestone with some mouth-watering eats. This was the only time Prime 112 had ever completely closed its doors, and you better believe it was one for the books. Next stop was Mansion Nightclub where everyone came to pop bottles and relish in victory. MVP Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal had the club going wild with excitement, raging until the sun came up.

2012
After joining the team in 2011, LeBron James made it his mission to end the 2012 season with his first championship win. The Miami Heat defeated Oklahoma City Thunder in a 4 to 1 series, which landed the team their second championship and a first time win on our home court. Naturally, this led to one massive celebration and it only seemed fitting that Miami’s best team would party at one of Miami’s best clubs, LIV. MVP LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Juwan Howard, Shane Battier, Norris Cole, and Chris Bosh paraded in around 3 a.m. and got the festivities started. You better believe that the players did it big, popping endless bottles, dancing on stage, blasting out CO2 guns and even taking turns hopping on the mic to hype the crowd up. Master mixer of the Miami Heat DJ Irie was holding it down in the booth, making sure to play all the players favorite jams. Continuing the celebration from their epic win, the NBA Champions kept the party going at Bamboo. The Big 3 took to the stage at the club and were presented with a customized cake representing the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy. Gabrielle Union and Tracee Ellis Ross were also out, relishing the festivities and enjoying the madness.
For those who were unable to attend the insane after-parties at LIV and Bamboo, the celebration continued for all with a victory parade through downtown Miami. Over 250,000 fans flooded the streets with excitement as they watched their favorite players ride down in a fleet of “white hot” vehicles waving and cheering.

2013
With a second Championship under their belt, the Miami Heat stopped at nothing to claim the title again. Like the saying goes, “If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen,” and that’s exactly what the San Antonio Spurs did, paving way for another Heat championship victory of 95 to 88. First stop on their celebratory spree? STORY where they were able to let loose and party with friends, family, and fans. To say there was a bottle parade would be an understatement, as one hundred Dom Perignon bottles filled the club throughout the night. The festivities continued throughout the weekend at Bamboo, HaVen, Foxhole, and even up to the eve of the parade with LeBron at LIV.
Nearly 400,000 fans came from near and far filling up the streets of Downtown Miami to watch our admired 2013 NBA Champions parade through the city. Double decker buses filled with players, their families, and the golden trophy rode through the ins and outs of Miami throughout the afternoon. Super soakers and confetti filled the atmosphere, making for one unforgettable experience. The parade finally commenced at the AmericanAirlines Arena, where season ticket holders joined the players for a private rally.
