Basel, Switzerland – June 16, 2014 – Following a long day of previewing the Art Basel madness, Nadja Swarovski, Craig Robins and Rodman Primack invited guests for a special dinner soiree to celebrate the 9th edition of Design Miami/ Basel. Designers, collectors, and other VIP guests dined beneath the appropriately crystalline acrylic stalactites of Jamie Zigelbaum’s Triangular Series. Primack and Robins praised Swarovski’s ongoing support of the fair, which this year has included the presentation of a shimmering four-metre-high steel and crystal work – Prologue – by Fredrikson Stallard, and will, from 2015 expand to include a partnership with the fair to present a new Designers of the Future Award commencing next June. Guests munched on salad, steak, and chocolate soufflé while toasting to the thrilling week with some delicious Perrier Jouet.
