Miami, FL – May 1, 2014 – On Thursday evening, the National YoungArts Foundation hosted Cultural Cocktails: An Evening of Music & Art with Grammy-Award winner and legendary drummer of the rock band Living Colour, Will Calhoun. Upon their arrival on YoungArts’ campus, guests had the opportunity to view pieces from Sibylle Szaggars Redford’s The Way of the Rain Paintings, which includes works from 2012 and 2013, in the YoungArts Gallery. Later in the evening, everyone headed upstairs to the 7th floor YoungArts Lounge, where they were treated to an intimate performance by Calhoun while enjoying Grey Goose Vodka cocktails. YoungArts alumni Melissa Goldstein and David Leon accompanied Calhoun, who paid tribute to jazz greats John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Notable attendees included YoungArts President Paul T. Lehr, Lauren Fitzpatrick, Stacey Galbut, Mindy Kang, Ashley Liemer, Erin Newberg, Marcella and Daniel Novela, Carolyn Travis, Martin Rozenblum and Paloma Soyka. The event was graciously supported by YoungArts’ Founding Members and its Influencer Circle Founding Committee.
