Miami, FL – March 12, 2014 – On Wednesday, The National YoungArts Foundation presented the second of six YoungArts Salons, featuring award winning actor, film director, and producer Robert Redford along with his wife, environmental artist Sibylle Szaggars Redford. Sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the discussion on art, activism and environmental awareness was moderated by Knight Foundation Vice President/Arts, Dennis Scholl. The group addressed several topics during the engaging conversation, including the previous evening’s world premiere of The Way of The Rain Miami, the Sundance Film Festival and Robert Redford’s latest film project, All is Lost. To conclude the event, the intimate crowd posed a series of open questions for the Redfords. Notable attendees included YoungArts President Paul T. Lehr, Nora Halpern and Bob Lynch from Americans for the Arts, YoungArts alumni Naomi Fisher, Serafima Federova and Maylin Enamorado, Debra Scholl, Michele Addison, Tara Gilani and CeCe Feinberg. After the YoungArts Salon, guests enjoyed The Way of the Rain Paintings, a coinciding exhibition in the YoungArts Gallery featuring Sibylle Szaggars Redford’s artwork and video work presented for the first time in Miami.
