Miami, FL – March 1, 2014 – Considered by many to be the most enjoyable event of the South Florida Social Season, the Miami Children’s Museum took a step back in time to the “Disco Era” and transformed itself into a hot nightclub “Studio MCM” for the 2014 Be A Kid Again Gala on Saturday evening. The soiree was in celebration of exceptional educational programming. Attendees felt like a kid again from the moment they enter the Museum and grooved the evening away to an exciting performance by “The Boogie Knights The Complete Studio 54 Tribute”, which had everyone heating up the dance floor all night. The night kicked off with a cocktail reception inside the Museum’s galleries filled with an extensive silent auction, featuring a wine section with exclusive lots from all over the world. The energetic live auction featured spectacular items including: a unique sculpture piece from award winning Victor Matthews Collaborative Project; a two-year luxury car lease from The Collection; an original sculpture from Romero Britto; a three day, two night Yacht Adventure; a Giraud Perregaux timepiece and much, much more. Completing the dynamic “Studio MCM” themed extravaganza was a taste tempting array of treats that brought to life all the iconic memories of this sultry disco era. Party After Dark

Attendees who didn’t want the disco fever to end, were in luck because following the 2014 Be A Kid Gala came the 2nd annual “Play After Dark” after party. Miami’s most influential emerging professionals joined gala goers and boogied into the night to sounds by DJ Corey Chase and DJ Troubles with a special performance by electro violinist Dave Damage. Guests were able to enjoy a premium bar with some delicious late night treats. The “Play After Dark” after party was chaired by young philanthropists Zak Mann and Amber Toback.
