Miami, FL – March 9, 2014 – With faultlessly fitting tuxedos, hair slicked back, and a cheeky look, Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester gave an outstanding performance of the best of ’20s and early ’30s dance, film and cabaret music—Cuban rumbas, cheerful foxtrots, elegant tangos—with amusing and somewhat ironic nostalgia. As the performance at Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts came to a close, the audience celebrated Max Raabe and the Palast Orchestra with heartfelt and cheerful standing ovation.
