Pavan Sangria Challenge
Miami Beach, FL – November 17, 2013 – It was all about the sangria at The Broken Shaker this past Sunday. The space hosted The Pavan Sangria Challenge, which featured bartenders from around the country creating original Pavan sangria recipes inspired by dream destinations. As part of the challenge, the bartenders were encouraged to use products native to their dream destination. The winning final product would land its bartender a trip for two anywhere in the world, as well as a trip to the finals in New York in February.
Using Pavan, a liqueur crafted from petit Muscat grapes and a touch of orange blossoms, to create the base to the sangria, the talented bartenders came up with flavors that guests were encouraged to sip and vote on. Also judging the event were Michael Parrish, president of the USBG Miami chapter, Miami Herald cocktail writer Galena Mosovich and Pavan Master Blender Pascal Ribes.
