Loews Celebrity Golf Tournament

Miami Beach, FL – October 25, 2013 – It was par for the course at the 3^rd Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament hosted by Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Benefitting DonorsChoose.org, an online charity that connects donors to Miami-Dade County classrooms in need, and The Foundation for New Education Initiatives, a program to enhance student achievements and community engagement, the A-list event drew in the likes of celeb Chef Josh Capon of NYC’s Lure Fishbar and Burger Bash winner Executive Chef Frederic Delaire. Participants were paired in groups of four, with each group featuring one celeb player for an 18-hole scramble format tournament. A silent auction and giveaways also helped raise funds for the cause. In the past, the tournament has been endorsed by celebrities like Alonzo Mourning, Ken Griffey, Jr., Jay Harris, Jason Taylor, Bucky Dent and Mark Duper, proving this event is a hole in one.
