Miami Beach, FL – October 1, 2013 – The hottest color right now? Pink, of course. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pink has taken the reigns as the hue of the season. Case in point: The Fontainebleau, which on October 1, transformed into a pink paradise as part of Bleau Goes Pink. The Miami Beach hotel proudly went pink in its curvilinear Chateau Tower and hotel lobby to help raise awareness for the cause and to honor its partnership with Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. As the sun set on that Tuesday, a special lighting ceremony and reception took place at the pool with Fontainebleau President and COO Phil Goldfarb and Susan G. Komen Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale Executaive Director Cathy McCarthy flipping the switch.

The tower will remain pink the entire month of October from dusk until 10 p.m. nightly, thanks to high-powered light fixtures by Southern Audio Visual. The lobby also turned a shade of blush, with installations at Bleau Bar, the concierge and reception desks. This is the fist time in history the hotel has altered its white façade, making the Fontainebleau now among the likes of The White House, the Empire State Building, Sydney Opera House and Buckingham Palace as pink properties during the month of October. But that’s not all. In addition to its revamped rose shade, the hotel has also created a Spa & Spice promotion throughout the month of October, where restaurants Gotham Steak, Hakkasan, Scarpetta and La Cote will extend their Miami Spice offers into October and Lapis Spa will offer two $99 spa treatments, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. The retail stores will also feature special offers that will benefit the charity as well. It’s a great time to think pink.
